CNC Plasma Operator

Pay Rates: Pay is based on experience, starting at $17/hr.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Loading & unloading table
• Operation of CNC Plasma
• Daily routine checkups on the machine
• Checking programs for proper dimensions against blueprints
• Writing up plates and drops, placing material in proper stations
• Housekeeping on and around the CNC plasma
• Operation of overhead cranes & forklifts
• Loading and unloading plate trucks
• Briefing with relieving shifts
• Ability to follow instructions, problem-solve, and work unsupervised

Required Skills:

• Good work ethic
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs

Preferred Skills:

• 1-year minimum CNC Plasma experience (or related field)
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints
• Proficiency with measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, add and subtract in fractions and decimals
• Knowledge of overhead crane & forklift operation

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
